Hi my name Jeadiel; it’s pronounced JDL. I’m from Trinidad and I have been in the US for 10+ years now. I have experience as a Sunday school teacher, a substitute teacher, and a middle school English teacher. I’m a happy, vibrant and fun loving person that enjoys kinesthetic learning. I am an artist and writer. I enjoy cultures from around the world, immersing myself in the global world & sharing that as often as I can. I incorporate teaching and the international sphere as often as I can because I believe in global literacy and education. I also respect the values and beliefs of others. I have a background in theology and world religions. I attended seminary, for the parents where this information may be pertinent. However I also respect boundaries and encourage teaching boundary sensitivity. I am in my third year of my mastoral program in professional counseling. Read more I have particularly enjoyed building my foundation in child therapy and developmental stages: I have extensive knowledge and real life experience implementing maslow’s hierarchy of needs, Erickson’s stages of development and other developmental psychology research. I love to create a synthesis of every thing I’ve learned and in some way apply it to everyday life in a healthy, safe and ethical manner, to help foster a better today for those I encounter, with intentional care and attention to those that cross my path. A saying my aunt always sang to me from a popular hymn was “if I help somebody as I pass along, then my living was not in vain” I’ve held this dearly in my life’s journey and as a motto. As a sitter, I hope to encourage emotional strength and a sense of self, validation, safety, education, and enjoyment, amongst everyone I encounter. I also hope to ease any burden or business, and help wherever I can.
