Hi! My name is Araceli, and I’m currently completing my degree in Marketing online. I’ve always loved working with children and have experience caring for and working with kids in a variety of settings, including babysitting, tutoring, summer camps, and volunteering. I have hands-on babysitting experience with children outside of my own family, in addition to helping care for my younger siblings growing up. I’m comfortable taking on the everyday responsibilities of childcare, from keeping children entertained and engaged to helping with homework, preparing simple meals, maintaining routines, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. One of my most meaningful experiences has been volunteering at Cougar Pass Recovery Ranch, where I work alongside children with disabilities, including autism, through equine-assisted activities. I help children feel comfortable around the horses, guide them through each step of the experience, and encourage them as they build confidence and learn new Read more skills. This has taught me a lot about patience, communication, adaptability, and meeting each child where they are. I also have experience tutoring high school students, as well as volunteering at a local elementary school where I helped younger students with basic math and schoolwork. Through the Youth Employment Internship Program (YEIP), I helped run a summer camp through Parks and Recreation, working with children in a fun, active, and structured environment. I’m especially passionate about languages and education. I love French, France, and learning about different cultures, and I hope to incorporate language tutoring into my future career—whether that means helping English-speaking children learn French or helping French-speaking children strengthen their English. I genuinely enjoy watching children learn, understanding how they think, and finding ways to connect with them based on their individual personalities and interests. Outside of school and work, I love spending time outdoors, being around animals and horses, learning about different cultures, and of course anything related to France and languages. I’m caring, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic, and I would love the opportunity to become someone your family can trust and your children genuinely enjoy spending time with!
