I worked at The JCC in Early Childhood as a preschool teacher for 3 years and have been a full-time nanny for the past 7 years. I have experience with all age groups, although infants and toddlers are probably my favorite. I connect well with kids thanks to my nurturing, easy going and energetic nature. I am so fortunate I get to do what I love. I provide structured, enriching days full of fun, adventure, and developmentally age appropriate activities. I love setting up different sensory bins for the ultimate tactile experience. Whether it’s engaging them in science experiments, art projects, dramatic play, music, letter and number games, I usually stick to some kind of emergent curriculum. Learning through play, I get to spark their interests in all kinds of areas. Marta has been our son's nanny for the last two years. She is absolutely amazing! If we could give 10 stars, we would. She is incredibly creative, loving, and engaging - she truly loves being around children, playing with them, and helping them grow and learn. Our son looked forward to seeing her every day. And all of his friends were so jealous that Marta was his nanny - they love her so much. She is really brilliant at what she does. Beyond simple caregiving activities, she created curriculum with him, engaged in science experiments, did cooking projects, and took him all over the city to child-centered activities (when that was possible). We're going to miss Marta, but it's exciting to know that a family in LA will get to work with such an incredible person. If you want a full reference, we are happy to provide one.
