I am a proud mother of two beautiful wonderful children. My son will be heading to college in the fall and my daughter is 16. I am a recently widowed/displaced homemaker seeking employment close to the West Chester area school district so my daughter can graduate high school with her friends. Ideally I would like a long-term position with one family. I am currently employed for the 2015-2016 school year with several families Monday through Thursday. I am drawn to early childhood. I enjoy engaging newborns through age five in play,music and physical and educational activities.. With older school age children I find myself getting involved at their request. IE: shooting baskets and playing board games. Prior to my marriage I worked as a preschool assistant and independent caregiver/Nanny. We were going to be in a unique situation where I (wife) was going to go on a week long business trip and the husband was going to work from home with the baby. Since the one year old baby was still breastfeeding, we had some concern as to whether the baby would adjust to this sudden wean off, in addition to mommy not being there for an entire week. Georgette came to the rescue and took care of the baby during the 9-to-6 working hours while my husband worked. Although the baby looked for mommy for the first two days, Georgette cared very well for the baby with songs, story telling and other plays. During that week, the baby learned how to sleep by herself without breastfeeding (first time ever), eat a whole lot more solid food, and sleep straight for 7 hours (first time ever). The baby was generally happy throughout Georgette's care during the week and my husband was able to focus on his work. Georgette even took care of some of the houseworks which made life very easy for us. We definitely recommend Georgette and will be using her again and again.
