Hi! I’m Michelle, a 23-year-old Active Duty service member with several years of experience working with children in both professional and family settings. Before joining the military, I spent three years working as a lifeguard and two years as a waterpark supervisor, where safety, responsibility, and staying calm in unexpected situations were an important part of my everyday work. I also worked as a swim instructor with children ranging from infants to 18 years old. For two years, I primarily worked with infants, toddlers, and young children ages 0–5, which gave me plenty of experience keeping little ones safe, comfortable, engaged, and entertained. I also have additional childcare experience caring for children of family members and friends. I’ve been serving on Active Duty for a little over a year, which has strengthened my reliability, professionalism, time management, and ability to adapt to changing situations. I understand how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust with both their children and their home, so I take that responsibility seriously while still making sure kids feel comfortable and have fun. My schedule is generally flexible after 4 PM on weekdays, and I have open availability on most weekends. Because I am Active Duty, I may occasionally be required to work a scheduled duty day, but I will always communicate those dates as far in advance as possible.
