I’ve worked in the childcare industry for around 10 years, 6.5 in Moore county schools, and 3.5 as a nanny prior to that. I worked as a nanny in someone’s home caring for their 6 month old until he was 3, then with a family of 4 (ages from 4 months old-10 years old). My job responsibilities included caring for infant and 4 years old during the day; feeding, changing, putting down for nap and work on preschool assignments and kindergarten prep. I picked up the other siblings from school, prepared snacks and played outside with them until parents arrived. I did some minor housekeeping as well to help the family. In addition, I was a preschool, kindergarten and first grade teaching assistant over a 6 year period and loved every minute of it. I have early education training, specifically in the are of childhood trauma response.
