I am a devoted and loving caregiver for children and elderly clients, with a specific focus on early-childhood learning, fostering creativity and self-esteem, physical development, and ongoing personal and household management. Alongside my work with children, I have spent the past 10 years serving as the primary caregiver for my father. I grew up in Chicago with a mother who founded a school for art and drama. Growing up in this environment started me on a lifelong love of children and of the arts. I went on to attend UNC - Chapel Hill for my B.A. before later attending Georgetown University for my M.A. in Russian and Soviet Literature. I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively, acclimating quickly to new environments and diverse cultures. I am the single mother of a wonderful and multi-talented son who grew up in a house filled with music and art, and ultimately secured Read more an honors scholarship to The McCallie School, before completing his undergraduate and graduate studies at Northwestern University, graduating with honors. I maintain wonderful relationships with past clients and view the opportunity to support, nurture, and foster confidence and creativity in children as a true gift and my life’s calling. I have extensive experience with newborns, toddlers, and middle school children. Early education, specifically, is a primary area of expertise for me. It is important that children are exposed to stimulating and thought-provoking stimuli right from the start of life. Another favorite part of my job is connecting children with new friends and watching them foster relationships. There is no greater joy than watching a child form their personality–the lovable quirks, the curious questions, the discovery of likes and dislikes, the smallest wins and navigating the challenging skills required to have successful interpersonal relationships. This is not simply educational, as developing strong social skills is every bit as important as intellectual learning to a rewarding life. This focus starts them on a path of positive relationships, building self-esteem and the ability to communicate. At my core, I am a silly, creative and hardworking person–always coming up with jingles and looking for whimsy in the world around me–and I’m thrilled about the opportunity to share in that whimsy with a loving family.
