I have over four years of professional experience in childcare and nannying, with a special focus on children ages infant through seven years old. These early years are full of growth and discovery, and I’m passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential through gentle guidance, consistency, and engaging learning experiences. Growing up as one of twelve siblings, I naturally fell into a caregiving role early on. I was always helping with my younger brothers and sister and quickly became the go-to person for watching family friends children. That early experience helped me develop patience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of how unique each child’s personality and needs can be. My background includes Early Childhood Development (ECD) courses completed in high school, and I’m currently pursuing an ECD–Infant Toddler Career Studies Certificate to continue expanding my knowledge. I have completed the Baby-Led Weaning course through Solid Starts, as well as Read more Virginia Pre-Service Training for Childcare Staff. These programs have given me a strong foundation in child development, nutrition, and best practices for supporting young children’s growth and safety. I believe that children thrive when they feel secure and supported, which is why I emphasize routine and structure in my care. I model and encourage good manners and kindness, offering gentle reminders of respect and common courtesy throughout the day. I enjoy planning age-appropriate, hands-on activities that spark creativity and curiosity, without relying on screen time. Whenever possible, I love to get children outside for play, exploration, and fresh air. I take pride in being a helpful and dependable support to families, happily assisting with light housekeeping, errands, or other household needs. Beyond my love for children, I’m also an animal lover, so pets are always a welcome part of the family to me!
