Hello! My name is Ebony Durham and I’m from Sacramento, CA and currently living in Los Angeles. I’m 29 years old. I have one older brother and one younger brother. I attended Alabama State University where I got my bachelors degree in criminal justice and I attended CSU Dominguez Hills where I got my masters degree in sociology. For fun I like to go to brunch and try new food places with friends, I like to travel, I like to hang out with family, I like going to the beach, I like museums, I like going to Dodgers games and I like to do Pilates. My babysitting career started when I was in middle school or high school where I used to babysit at my church and for my mom’s friends younger kids. As I started working and getting real jobs, I’ve always worked with children and youth. My responsibilities included the completion of an intensive two-week training to learn curriculum development, researched best practices working with at-risk kids and created interactive learning games. I provided middle school students with educational enrichment through reading. In addition, taught students skills such as decision-making, teamwork, project based learning, and creativity. I have worked at the YWCA as a Child Advocate, San Bernardino YMCA and Riverside-Redlands Boys and Girls Club where I was a youth leader for their after school program where I work with grades K-5th grade. Lastly, I was a assistant teacher at Olive Crest Academy for middle school and high school. In addition to babysitting, I am available for online and in person tutoring grades K-5th grade in all subjects. 9th-college for editing and help writing papers. I currently work from home as a Community Engagement and Advocacy Ass. At The Children’s Partnership.
