Hi! My name is Maeve and I’m a rising junior at Wake Forest University. At school, I’m studying Psychology, Spanish and Public Health Administration. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, writing, cycling and spending time with friends and family! Also, I am renewing my first aid and CPR certifications at the end of May:) I have loved working with children for as long as I can remember! I’m the oldest girl out of all my cousins, so I’ve had the job of babysitter from a very young age. Beyond that, I have experience as a camp counselor for children from ages 4-13. At Wake Forest, I am a member of a club called Project Launch, where I mentor middle schoolers on healthy lifestyle choices and the importance of their wellbeing. I think what sets me apart from other sitters is my adaptability, patience, and authenticity. I know that working with Read more children can be unpredictable, which means I know how important it is to be flexible and able to adapt to new situations on the fly. Additionally, I think patience is incredibly important with children, as treating children with kindness and patience creates a loving environment conducive to their growth. Finally, I pride myself on being a genuine person, who is able to balance kindness, honesty and empathy at once. Children are extremely intuitive and are able to detect authenticity, which is why forging genuine relationships with them is so important to me.
