I am a 44 year old wife and mother of two teenage sons. I am currently employed as a nanny/housekeeper, but the family I work for will be moving before the end of the year. I have cared for and worked with children on and off for the past 20 years. I can't imagine my life without children in it. Taking care of children isn't just a job to me, I put my heart into what I do. I love being a part of the process of children learning, growing and developing. I have worked with children of all ages in many setting and capacities over the years. In addition to my current position as a nanny, I have been a preschool class assistant, worked in an in home day care, and I have taken care of children in their own homes as well as my own. I have also volunteered as a Read more Sunday school teacher, a nursery worker and a VBS leader at my church. I am currently certified in infant/child/adult CPR and First Aid. I have also completed 24 hours of training pertaining to child safety and childhood development. I love to cook and bake and have learned how to adapt meal planning and food preparation for children with food allergies. I enjoy being creative and getting messy right along with the kids, so crafts and safe, age appropriate science experiments are fun for me as well. I love to read! As a parent myself, I know the value and importance of reading, so I try to pass my love of good books along to those in my care.
