I've been employed with a local nannying company here in town since I was 18 years old, 10 years so far. I thoroughly enjoy the company but would like to work more hands on with one family specifically. Generally the kids are anywhere from 8 weeks to 8 years of age. Some of the jobs are with their parent(s) in house as they work from home or catch up on chores, most times parents are away for date night or running errands. I usually stick to the families that have known me since high school as they specifically request me...a lot of them have gone from 1 kiddo to 3, 4 and 5. It's a pleasure getting to watch their families grow as I understand how tough it can be to trust someone around your little ones. Sometimes the kids need transportation to their sporting events while I'm present, or Read more even a ride to or from school. For the most part evenings usually go about the same: I arrive after school, help with homework if any, meal prep/dinner time, play for a few hours, read stories/relax for half an hour to an hour before bed. Babies are often mistaken as more difficult, I disagree because its easy to solve their problems with 1 of 3 choices. New diaper, nap time or hangry. Most of the time babies have their own nap schedule set in place by their parents & I try my best to stick to it as the baby allows/adjusts. I'm comfortable with up to 4 kids as a time, siblings preferred. Including twins and triplets. Oldest of 4, 27 years old, associate's degree and RE license. Dog mom :) -Infant, child & adolescent CPR certified -Clear background check and driving record (I'm happy to request both docs from my previous employer if interested)
