I was born in Spain, raised in Brazil, and came to the US to finish high school, learn English and go to college. I always felt I connected deeply with kids, and when I first got my job working with kids, I realized that being around them was an important piece of my fulfillment in life. I’ve worked with kids from 2yrs old to 12 yrs old as a swim instructor for 1.5 year now, my empathy and undivided attention to them has allowed me to thrive under pressure and potentially dangerous environment. At the pool, I had to be extremely alert with the students, I would teach four at the time and sometimes I needed to put my “mom voice” on so they could be safe. Rapport and connection with Students and parents was my favorite part. I love being part of little humans’ growth and being able to Read more support their family with my knowledge and love. Even though I don’t have a long time of experience, I believe the amount of willingness and wholeness I put into working with kids can make up for it.
