I have worked in a multitude of different fields such as food service, retail and even reception but child care has been a reoccurring theme in my life. At age nine I found myself responsible for my younger family members as well as the children in my community. In middle school I assisted my mother in running a daycare (including - after school program) out of our home. Recently I have acquired some formal experience during my time in Arkansas at Norphlet preschool. During my time there I received proper training through assessment, videos, and hands on experience, I loved all of the children we worked with deeply and I was oftentimes applauded for my ability to maintain etiquette whenever I had to discipline children, I was never forceful or physical with the kids. I know how important the early years of a child”s life are, we must be loving Read more and encouraging them and showing them whats right from wrong. I also have some experience working with special needs children, I grew up with a younger brother with autism and an older sister with Asperger syndrome, my youngest brother also struggles with ADHD, so with all of these different siblings with differing challenges has taught me patience and also how to identify children with special needs. During my time at the preschool there was a lot of children im our class with special needs and I learned so much about how to meet those needs and help them learn and grow with others. Nobody should be left behind and everyone has an opportunity to develop even if you have to take a different route. I have excellent multitasking and conflict resolution skills which is essential when even caring for one child. I clean often due to force of habit and I have a lot of experience for meal preparation and scheduled activities, I believe in structure and development in virtually anything that I’m doing. I would be grateful to any family willing to allow me into their homes and I would devote myself to the children that I work with.
