I have been babysitting children since eighth grade when I was first trusted to look after my younger brother when my parents had to go out to a business functions. Since then I have always babysat either during the mornings and evenings for different families and if they happened to have a dog to walk/feed or any other pet to take care of I would gladly perform that task as I have a natural love and respect for animals. Although babysitting is a part time endeavor for me, I take this task just as seriously as my main career as a chess program director/chess instructor. I am comfortable performing many different household tasks such as cooking and cleaning and one of my strengths as a babysitter is being able to engage children in intellectual related endeavors such as reading, writing and art and helping them with their homework if necessary.
