Hi! I’m Arlesia, and I’m an Occupational Therapy Doctorate student at Duke University based in Durham, NC. I absolutely love working with children and supporting families, which is why I’ve continued babysitting throughout school. Being a sitter lets me build meaningful relationships with kids while also strengthening the skills I use in OT, like patience, creativity, communication, and supporting daily routines in a developmentally appropriate way. I’ve worked with children ages 8 months to 18 years old, and my experience primarily includes being a nursery attendant at the YMCA, a camp counselor, and a regular babysitter for families. I’m comfortable with daily routines, bedtime, meal prep, light household tasks, homework help, and keeping kids engaged with fun activities that match their interests. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have a valid driver’s license, clean record, and my own transportation, and I’m confident supporting children with different abilities and needs. I’d love the opportunity to support your family in a way that makes your schedule easier and your child’s day brighter. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
