Hi! I’m Sophie, a 23-year-old fourth-year medical student from Galway, Ireland, spending my third summer in Montauk! I have over 7 years of childcare experience and have babysat for more than 15 Montauk families, caring for children from 6 months to 12 years old. I’m first aid trained, lifeguard trained, and comfortable supervising children safely at the beach or pool. I also have experience working with children with a range of special needs. We hired Sophie during our family vacation in Montauk for the week to help care for our 7-month-old and 5-year-old, and she was wonderful. She was warm, attentive, and clearly experienced with both a baby and a young child at once - no small feat! Our kids adored her, and we felt completely at ease leaving them in her care. She was reliable, communicative, flexible, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and safe.
