As a former director of a Montessori elementary school and school social worker in training, I bring a thorough knowledge of child development to my role as a nanny. Overseeing a Montessori academy with children ranging from two months old to eight years old, I was responsible for classroom deescalation, filling in as lead teacher where needed, and maintaining a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment. One of my core beliefs is that children deserve to feel valued and respected. I will always kneel down to meet a child where they are at to reaffirm that I value what they have to say. Incorporating my training of various pedagogies and love for learning, we will develop skills like reading, math, and science with play, art, and experiments. In my most recent nanny role, I acted as a teacher and caregiver creating weekly lesson plans, setting academic milestones to meet, and adapting Read more my teaching style to the needs expressed by the children. In addition to my experience as a school director, nanny, and teacher, I am also a Junior in my school social work program. My pursuit in becoming a school social worker allows me to recognize a child’s needs even if not expressed verbally. This pursuit also strengthens my ability to care for children with special needs. It is important to me that your child/children know they are respected, safe, and valued at all times. It is also important they have fun! As an artist and outdoor enthusiast myself, we will always have a new craft we are working on, science experiments to try, and adventures to go on. I am also CPR certified with formal training in early childhood education, human development, and art therapy. I am leaving my role in college admissions to return to nannying because it will allow me to continue my educational pursuits. I also truly miss all of the fun that comes with spending time with little ones as we help them learn how to navigate life. I am so excited to hear from you!
