Hello, My name is Jessica I love being a nanny and have been watching newborns, infants, toddlers, and kids (including twins!) since I was 16 years old. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school, crafts, tutoring, and even dance lessons. I also work as a household assistant and can cook, clean, and run errands. I have been a caretaker for my own grandparents and am comfortable with senior care. I can cook, drive to appointments, or do other tasks.

Jessica worked with us for 3 months and during that time she was very caring toward our kids, almost always showed up on time, and was very available. However, the 2* review is because she completely ghosted us. There was one instance where she was supposed to show up and didn't show and I couldn't get a hold of her, so I needed to arrange emergency backup care for our kids. And then recently, she had some health issues, called and said she'd be a bit late, but then didn't show at all, and I couldn't contact her via text or calls. So again, I had to urgently arrange backup care. Then, later that week, she stopped by our house to pick up her paycheck, including sick pay. She said she'd see us the next morning, like usual, but never showed. And never responded to our repeated calls/texts to her (or to her best friend/emergency contact). I don't feel that I can trust her any more and do not recommend her. I hope she's ok--she did cash the checks a couple days after ghosting us. Do not recommend hiring her. There's a prior review with a similar story as well.

Jessica is a kind and thoughtful caregiver with tons of potential. While she worked for us she was always on time, rarely late, and went above and beyond daily to engage our daughter and encourage her growth. Unfortunately, she experienced something terrible in her family, left early that day and we never saw or heard from her again. While I get that things happen, having the communication skills to stay in touch with your employer is critical to the job. Especially when it comes to childcare. My daughter formed a bond with her, and trying to explain why someone just went away to a 3.5 year old is challenging at best. Jessie reached out to us just recently, not acknowledging her unexplained absence. I hope all is well with her and that she finds stability in her personal life so she can make the most of her potential.
