I am a junior at the University of Connecticut in the NEAG School of Education program, majoring in comprehensive special education. For the past year, I have worked at the Boys and Girls Club as a youth development professional. While I am on campus, I work with toddlers at the Child Development Laboratories, which is a daycare for parents and guardians who are associated with UConn. I have multiple younger siblings who I have watched over the years, and this first exposed me to working with children. I love working with children because I enjoy being a positive role model to kids. Working with kids also gives me the experience needed for my field of study. Lastly, I am American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certified.
