Hi, I’m Keona! Caring for children has been the thread running through my whole life — it’s the work that has always made me feel most like myself. For over 11 years I’ve cared for kids of every age, from toddlers taking their first wobbly steps to school-age children navigating homework, big feelings, and everything in between. It has never felt like just a job to me. There’s honestly nothing better than watching a child figure something out for the first time and knowing you helped them get there. A little about my background: I hold an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education with a focus on special education, so I understand not just what children do at each stage, but why — and how to gently support them through it. Every child is different, and I love learning each one’s little quirks, routines, and the things that make them light up. Day to day, I’m the kind of sitter who keeps things structured but fun. I plan activities that sneak in learning through play, keep routines steady so kids feel secure, and stay calm and patient when someone’s having a rough moment (because we all have them!). I’m happy to help with homework, get creative with crafts and games, handle mealtimes and nap routines, and tidy up along the way. Most of all, I want your child to feel safe, seen, and genuinely cared for.
