Hi! My name is Atiba and I’m a caring experienced early childhood professional with more than 20 years of experience working with children and families. Although I have work with all ages my experience has been with infants and toddlers and I really love watching children learn, grow, and explore the world around them. I’m patient, nurturing, dependable, and believe every child deserves to be cared for as an individual. I enjoy creating a safe and comfortable environment where children can explore, play, learn, and express themselves. I believe in meeting children where they are developmentally and providing the support they need to continue growing. Throughout my career I have worked in early childhood classrooms and Early Head Start. I have experience with daily routines, age-appropriate activities, developmental milestones, social-emotional development, and partnering with families. I currently work as a Quality Specialist in early childhood, where I support early childhood Read more educators and programs in creating quality learning environments for children. I have also completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Early Childhood Special Education. My education and professional experience have given me a strong understanding of child development and the importance of individualized care. When caring for children, I enjoy reading, singing, creative activities, sensory play, music and movement, and allowing children to learn through play. I’m also comfortable following the routines and expectations that families have established for their children. My goal is to make sure your child feels safe, comfortable, cared for, and engaged while you’re away and that you feel confident knowing your child is in good hands.
