Hi, I’m Simone a 25 year old who truly enjoys working with children and helping them learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and nurturing environment. I’ve attended Bowie State University pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education. Every child is unique, and I find it incredibly rewarding to be a positive part of their development and day-to-day life.I have 1-2 years of experience as an assistant teacher , where I worked closely with children in a classroom setting. In addition, I also have 1 year of experience working with children who require special needs. I’ve volunteered at school events and with various organizations that serve children, giving me hands-on experience in child care and supervision. I also come from a family of educators—my mother has been a school teacher for 40 years, and my sister has been working in the school system for Read more over five years—so I’ve grown up understanding the importance of patience, communication, caregiving and consistency when working with kids. I have strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, which are essential when caring for children. My experience in the classroom has taught me how to manage groups, handle challenging behavior, and engage children in age-appropriate activities. I'm also responsible, dependable, and always focused on safety. In addition, I am CPR and First Aid certified, which ensures I’m prepared to handle emergencies with confidence and care. I am currently in school, preparing myself to become a certified nursing assistant. I originally started at Bowie State University entering as a nursing major, unfortunately, had to change my major during my junior year of schooling, which led me to pursue my major in psychology with a minor in early childhood education, as stated previously. I’ve always had a passion for caring for children. A little bit more by myself I love to be outdoors in the nature. I also love to read, cook, dance and sing on my free time. I have the biggest heart that you can think of I’m filled with joy, laughter, and happiness.
