Hi! My name is Selena, and I’m a 20-year-old online college student at Piedmont University. Caring for children has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up with a single mother, I helped raise my younger siblings from a very young age, which naturally taught me patience, responsibility, and how to care for children with love and structure. Over the years, I’ve gained experience babysitting for cousins, close family friends, and through private nanny positions. I’ve also mentored school-aged children and worked at a trampoline park in Charlottesville, where I spent a lot of time supervising and interacting with kids in a fun but safe environment. These experiences helped me learn how to connect with children of all ages while still maintaining clear boundaries and discipline when needed. I’m very patient, kind, and nurturing, but I also understand the importance of structure, respect, and consistency. In addition to childcare, I’m a great cook and enjoy preparing meals and snacks for families. I’m also very organized and happy to help with cleaning and keeping the home tidy. I’ve been CPR certified for several years through previous work requirements and will be renewing my certification soon. I’m passionate about helping families however I can, whether that means keeping kids engaged, helping with routines, or simply being a reliable extra set of hands. I absolutely adore children and animals, and I hope to be a mother one day myself. For now, I’m just excited to support families and care for their little ones with the same love and attention I would give my own.
