To start off my passion for children I was a junior summer camp counselor for children 4-6 years old. I then found a wonderful family in my Colorado home town. I cared for their daughter from when she 2 months until she was 2 years old. After moving to Florida, I babysat and nannied for numerous families. The younger children I was with more regularly ranged from 5 months - 3 years. A very special family to me was my first experience with older children with a 11 year old and 8 year old that I stayed with for 2 school years until I relocated. The 8 year old had high functioning autism and was absolutely amazing to work with and opened me up to a deeper interest in childhood development and working with a wider range of unique children and babies. I have completed my 40-hour DCF certification, CPR/First Aid certification, and have taken 2 years of Early Childhood Education, as well as in class hours (pre-K).
