Meet Kaye

Hello! I’m offering childcare in northeast Raleigh for one infant in my home, flexible hours. I'm a mom of 5, including twins, ages 5-15. I have a background in childcare/education stretching back 20+ years. I worked as a nanny and household manager for a family of 7 for 5 years. My husband and I were licensed foster parents prior to having our own children. I've taught preschool and children’s art classes. My coursework is in early childhood ed. I've worked as PTA President and VP at my kids' schools, and I led a troop of Girl Scouts for 5 years. I follow respectful/progressive parenting and childcare. My home is a playful, safe, loving place. I have experience childproofing up to state licensing standards. First aid/CPR certified, clean driving record, non-smoker, non-drinker, no pets. My family is up to date on all immunizations, including Covid/flu. I'm educated in Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio-Emilia, Read more and other methodologies. When your child is in my care, your desires will always be respected. I firmly believe parents are experts in their children, and this is a judgment-free zone. We spend our days doing big, messy art, exploring outside, playing pretend, and making library runs for storytime and stacks of good books.
