Hi! I’m Kirstin — a pediatric speech-language pathologist, former high school English teacher, wife of almost 8 years, and mom of two boys (almost 2 and 6). I’m currently stepping back from full-time work to spend more time homeschooling my kids, and I’m looking to support another family or two by caring for children in my home. I’m available for after-school care during the school year as well as full-day care over the summer. I can help with school pickup, snacks, homework support, and providing a calm, fun environment where kids can just be kids. In addition to being a mom, I have 10+ years of experience as a nanny and babysitter and have worked as an SLP in early intervention, private practice, and public schools with students of all ages, including children on the autism spectrum and with a variety of support needs. I’m passionate about supporting children’s communication, Read more learning, emotional regulation, and social development in a natural and engaging way. I believe in respecting and treating kids as whole human beings. Our home is very family-centered and play-based. We live on a property with lots of room to run and explore, along with two friendly dogs, a cat, and a couple of goats. We value outside time, free play, crafts, sensory play, reading books, dancing because you feel like it, digging in the dirt, building forts, and making childhood feel magical and safe.
