Hi! I’m Katy, I’m 24 years old and I have over 10 years of childcare experience with children of all ages, from infants through early teens. I began babysitting when I was 13 and have continued working with families ever since. I also spent five years working professionally as an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher at a daycare center, giving me extensive hands-on experience caring for young children in both individual and group settings. I currently work full-time in sales, but working with children has always been something I truly love and miss! I’m hoping to connect with new families for occasional babysitting, date nights, weekends, and other childcare needs. I’ve actually met several wonderful families through Sittercity in the past and have been lucky enough to build lasting relationships with them. I’m comfortable caring for children at every stage, from bottles, diapers, naps, and bedtime routines with little ones to crafts, games, outdoor activities, homework help, and hanging out with older kids. I’m also happy to help with light cleanup and other tasks while I’m there. Outside of work and babysitting, I’m involved with The Princess Program Foundation, a nonprofit that provides character programming for children and families impacted by serious illnesses. Working with children and creating special experiences for them has remained a huge part of my life even after leaving the daycare setting. Above all, I want the children I care for to feel safe, comfortable, and excited to have me come over! I’m attentive, dependable, patient, and love actually engaging with the kids I babysit, whether that’s getting on the floor to play, dance parties, or outdoor activity.
