Hi, my name is Sofia! I am 19 years old and the oldest in a family of 5 children. I grew up with a single parent and was tasked with caring for my younger siblings (now between the ages of 6 and 14) in the evenings after school. This often included helping with homework, preparing dinner, and ensuring the house was clean before our mom got home. I had 7 years of childcare experience by the age of 18! Between the ages of 16 and 18, I maintained a 3.7 GPA and was a member of the National Honors Society and my school's theater program, all while working two part-time jobs. After graduating, I decided to take a break from school, though I would like to complete my associates degree in the fine arts and continue on to a local cosmetology program. Instead of going to college in the fall, Read more I went on a 2 week solo road trip (a lifelong dream of mine), furthering my ability to problem solve and be independent. That all being said, I LOVE being around kids! I always feel the most myself getting to hang out with and care for children. In terms of logistics, I have a valid drivers license and a reliable car. I am currently pursuing my First Aid and CPR certifications and am happy to obtain any additional training a family requires.
