I have been working with children since the age of 14. I am available for supervision or tutoring (English and grammar, science, and basic math). I have spent time as an assistant teacher at Unique Little Hands Daycare in Suffolk, VA. I worked with children ages 1-8 but I spent most of my time in the 1 and 2 year old classrooms. I have also volunteered working with older kids (supervision and tutoring). I am able to aid in potty training and pride myself in teaching children basic knowledge such as numbers, letters, colors and simple words. I am very creative and love to get messy with the kids and allow them to do hands on crafts to stimulate their minds as well and their senses. I have just graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education so I am aware that children learn differently and Read more I know how to tailor my lessons or tutoring to best benefit each child. I have worked at Special Olympics for over 4 years and I am comfortable caring for children with special needs, children with autism , children with physical disabilities and also children who learn at a slower pace than others. I have also worked with children who speak English as a second language. I am patient and like to focus on children being kind and open to everyone, but I do not tolerate children being disrespectful to adults or other children. Overall I have a LOVE of kids and I only want the best for them as a teacher. Babysitting is a great way for me to build more experience and make money while doing what I love.

Courtney was able to help babysit our infant on short notice during the weekday. She communicated ahead of time to ask about the schedule and make me feel at ease since she was new to our family. She was prompt and extremely professional. She was so sweet with our baby, reading him books, doing tummy time and making sure he was happy and didn’t fuss at all. Highly recommend!!

Courtney babysat my little girl starting at 14 months. She would take my daughter to doctor appointments when I was at work. She would pick my baby up from daycare when needed. My daughter loves her. She never cries when I leave her with Courtney. She is usually available when I call her. I can say that Courtney is reliable and a joy to work with. She has a great spirit.
