Catalina C.

Catalina is a wonderful nanny and, more importantly, fantastic human. In terms of her helping us with our two children, she has been incredibly kind, patient, and reliable. That last point can’t be underestimated, especially when you have responsibilities that need attention (other than your kids). Were it not for the school year beginning, we would still be welcoming Catalina into our home – which would thrill our children given they ask for her on a weekly basis.

Catalina has been a huge asset to our family for the last 2 years on a full time basis. We’ve decided to transition our 2 yo son to daycare full time, but man, was it a hard decision to let her go. She’s been with us since I went back at work after maternity leave and since George was 3 months old. I was able to expand my role significantly at work during this time because I knew my son was in good hands. She’s reliable, responsible, kind, caring, and fun. She helped around the house — light cleaning / tidying, and she took care of all of my son’s nursery needs (sheets, laundry, bottles, etc.) I can’t say enough good things about her! They went on regular outings to the library, park, Charlie’s Corner, and much more. As other reviewers have said, she treats George like an independent (but little) person, with the respect he deserves while establishing appropriate boundaries and expectations. She has worked with us to establish and emulate our family routines in her time with George. She’s become almost like family, and we’re going to miss having her in our home on a daily basis!

We’ve been using Catalina regularly for the past few months for daycare pickups and running through the evening routine. She’s reliable, Dependable and very loving. Our daughter Emma (almost 2yo) doesn’t open up to everyone and she immediately clicked with Catalina. She plays, reads and sings with Emma, easily distracts her if she’s upset about us leaving. She took the time to understand my Emma’s schedule and routine and follows it. She provides updates with photos via text and always leaves our place tidy after.

It’s been over a year since she first started taking care of my little one. She is very patient around babies, toddlers and has a lot of experience which is a big plus. She’s always observed my baby and repected her as a little human. I could clearly see the bond between them and have always felt like I was in good hands having her. I would definitely recommend her.

Catalina saved the day when our daycare had to close for three days unexpectedly. She stayed with our (almost 2 year old) son all day. By the third day when the doorbell rang when she arrived my son let out an uncontrolled excited "YAY!" Catalina kept great schedules of the day, was open to following our routines and has a great calming demeanor. We will definitely use her again!
