Thanks for taking a moment to read my bio! I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University in 2004. Upon graduation from FSU, completed EMT academy and worked briefly as an EMT for a private ambulance company. From 2005 to 2011, I worked for contracted providers of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, serving as a Lead Case Manager, Functional Family Therapist, and Senior ReEntry Counselor. During this time, I also worked as a Substitute Teacher at a daycare for infants, and as an in-home Tutor for elementary school.students. I served as a nanny for two fantastic beachside families from approximately 2011 to 2014. In 2014, I resumed my career in criminal justice as a sworn Senior Correctional Probation Officer for the Florida Department of Corrections. In 2017, I graduated to the federal level and served as a sworn United States Probation Officer for the Read more United States Court until 2019. Since COVID's arrival, I have served as a Teacher's Assistant at an alternative elementary school, a Senior Office Assistant for the Sheriff's Office in Portland, Oregon, and a Marijuana Licensing Investigator for the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. I am a 38 year old native Floridian who has experience in working with children from infants to young adults. I would describe myself as responsible, kind-hearted, and creative. I am a non-smoker and non-drinker- a fun square, really. I love anything nature (except the bugs), and I particularly enjoy teaching youngsters more about the outside world. My nanny style is interactive. I like to work with the children through creative and interactive play such as board games, puzzles, arts and crafts, reading books and acting out characters, and checking out the nature in the back yard. I am a major healthy lifestyle advocate and believe in the positive power of nature, fresh air, a healthy diet, daily exercise, and caring caretakers.
