I chose to work with children about 20 yrs ago. I was a dental assistant and receptionist for a few yrs buy my main love was to work with children. I became a Substitute Teacher and did this for 18 yrs.working at all grade levels. My favorite age group was the elem level. While at the elementary school I also worked with our Reading Remediation program. I enjoyed working with the kids in this program. I also tutored students during that time at my home. I was a cheerleading coach for about 18 yrs.at the high school I cheered at as well as working with the local rec league and middle school cheerleaders. Volunteered at the local Boys and Girls Club for a few yrs then became their guest member and front desk person for close to 2 yrs. I did work with kids 3-12 yrs old at another local Read more gym as well as tutoring a 5th grade student who I've had the pleasure of being with for 3 yrs.now. Very recently I was a nanny to twin 3 yr olds boy and girl. They were a complete joy! I’ve been a tutor the past few years working with kids in elementary and middle school. I’ve tutored students in Reading,Math,Science,and Social Studies.As you can see I enjoy working with kids and would welcome the opportunity to be a part of your children's success in school! look back to a moment in my high school senior English class when the teacher said if you are able to affect one young person's life then you have done a wonderful thing. I have chosen to go way beyond that and try to help as many as I can! I received that teacher’s English 4 award that year. Also received English 3,Spanish 1,and Advanced Social Studies awards in high school. I have helped students who were receiving failing grades to passing with A’s and B’s.
