Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because it allows me to connect with children and witness their pure joy and curiosity as they explore the world around them. There’s nothing quite like seeing their faces light up during fun activities or sharing a laugh together. Building meaningful relationships with both the children and their families is incredibly rewarding, and it makes the experience even more special. What experience do you have? I started my journey by babysitting for friends and family, which laid the foundation for my love of caring for children. I then worked at a daycare catering to infants up to five-year-olds, where I honed my skills in engaging with children at various developmental stages. Most importantly, I was fortunate enough to find a private nannying position with a family I met through the daycare. The bond I formed with their son Read more was remarkable; we shared so many adventures, and I enjoyed helping him achieve milestones in swimming and learning. What skills and training do you have? I have developed strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and patience through my experiences working with children. I understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing environment that fosters growth and exploration. My background in daycare and nannying has equipped me with practical skills in child development, communication, and creative play. Additionally, I am planning to pursue a degree at COCC to become a paramedic, which reflects my commitment to helping others and making a positive impact in their lives.
