As the oldest in a large family, I’ve spent most of my life in a hands-on caregiving role. I helped raise my younger siblings from infancy through school age, managing daily routines such as meals, laundry, transportation, and homework support. I also have experience caring for children independently for extended periods, including overnight and multi-day care while parents were away. One of my most demanding experiences involved caring for my younger sister after she returned home from the NICU, where she required tube feeding and close overnight monitoring. This taught me responsibility, patience, and how to remain calm and attentive in high-stress situations. In addition to family care, I’ve babysat for multiple families, often caring for three children at a time. My responsibilities included cooking, cleaning, school drop-offs and pick-ups, and structured weekend activities — all while balancing my academic schedule.
