Hi there, my name is Alexis and I am 22 years old! I graduated Spring 2022 with my Bachelors degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and I am currently attending Jacksonville University to attain my Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Ever since I was young, I have always been around children/babies. I have two younger brothers and eight younger cousins which has given me a lot of practice. I also have paid babysitting experience in which I watched a one and three year old for about a year. While living in Florida this past semester, I also babysat for 3 families with kids from ages 6 months to 9 years old. Whether we are playing games, making a craft or just watching a movie, I give my full attention to children and try to make it as fun and safe as possible! The love and passion I have for helping Read more and caring for kids has grown more and more over the years, especially due to my major. I have known for a while I want to work with kids as a future speech-language pathologist so this would be extremely rewarding for me. I got CPR recertified this past summer and I am open to doing a meet and greet to introduce myself and ensure your child/children are comfortable with me. Although I do not have experience with caring for special needs children, I would be happy to watch them. I volunteered at an all autistic school a few years ago and absolutely adored the children there. I understand the responsibility and I am extremely patient and understanding. Some hobbies I enjoy are running, going to the gym, cooking, going to the beach, and hanging out with my bunny. I love all types of animals and would be 100% comfortable with pets in the house. Additionally, I have no problem with helping around the house and/or running errands. I simply love being around children and enjoy watching them learn and grow. I am a passionate individual and would absolutely love the opportunity to care for your children. I look forward to meeting you and your kiddos! Due to my classes and clinical placement starting, I am only available Thursday nights, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
