Hi! My name is Charlotte, I’m 18 and will be starting college in the fall. As the eldest grandchild out of 8, I helped raise my cousins and little sister. My baby sister just turned 3, and she’s the light of my life. Because of my experience with these babies, I developed a passion for taking care of little ones, and plan to become a neonatal nurse in the future. With the help of three scholarships, I will be starting the Medical Assisting program at Sierra. I’ve taken two child development courses so far, where I learned about fetal, cognitive and early years development. I’m currently working as a lifeguard, in which I became CPR/First Aid Certified, learned how to deal with various medical emergencies, and how to provide a safe environment in and out of the water.
