I am passionate about helping children thrive. I have been a full time nanny for over 12 years. I am enthusiastic about finding a family that values collaboration, open communication, and with whom my principles resonate. My educational philosophy is inspired by Montessori principles. I believe that children benefit from a wide variety of experiences including independent free play, hands-on and child-led learning, and guided enrichment. I am proactive and thrive with a busy schedule, but I also enjoy and understand the value of relaxed days at home reading, listening to music and doing crafts with the children. My professional life was shaped by my studies in anthropology and archaeology. I had opportunities to travel to over ten countries, which provided me with multicultural experiences that broadened my understanding of the world around me. In 2012 I started my first professional nanny position in Colorado, where I was able to Read more nanny for three wonderful children on a dairy farm in the foothills of the mountains. This allowed me to share my love of the outdoors, adventures and animals with the children. Later I moved to Denver and gained more household management responsibilities. I excelled at balancing camps and music classes with running errands and taking care of household duties. Living in the city put me close to many museums and parks to explore with the children which fueled my enthusiasm for field trips and exploring new avenues of learning and play. At the end of 2017, I moved back to Tennessee to be closer to my newly-extended family, and I started a new nanny position for a family with a two year old and newborn. With the family’s busy lifestyle and four older middle and high school aged children, I quickly became a household manager and was able to easily balance care of the children as well as all of the household needs. In the position I worked over the last four years, I worked with an amazing active family in Nashville with two children. My responsibilities ranged from being home full-time during Covid to helping them get to school and activities while I ran errands and prepared meals. Through all of these positions, I have become increasingly dedicated to enriching the lives of young children. I have recently moved back to Colorado to be with my father and assist in the last year of his life.
