I love caring for children, nurturing them, and helping them discover the world around them through engaging play, songs, and games. I enjoy reading books to children and as they get older helping them make connections with what we have read and experiences in their world. I have experience caring for infants through young children from the age of 12 on. I babysat my own younger siblings and throughout the years children from church families as well as local families. I was a teachers assistant working with toddlers for 1 year, a co-teacher for 4 year-olds for 1 year, and a physical education and computer teacher for grades pre-k through 8th for almost 2 years. I have since had my own child and have not only raised him but also taught him educationally. I have a background in early childhood education with 2 years in this program and ultimately graduated Read more with a degree in family studies. Most recently I directed a homeschool co-op for 3 years where I was constantly engaging the children and families that came to our facility. I also taught children ages 4-7 for 1.5 years at the co-op. I am a patient, loving caregiver who is calm under pressure. I understand that when a child has big emotions they are experiencing one must remain calm in order to help the child calm down and not match the level or emotion of the child. I am responsible, warm, and kindhearted. I look forward to working with you to provide care for your child!
