I am a college graduate who majored in Childhood Education/History and a substitute teacher in the White Plains School District, qualified to work in all grades. I am currently looking to enter a Master's program for Secondary Education. In an extracurricular sense, I coach girl's basketball. I have also worked with children from grades K-9 as a counselor in an after-school program and winter/spring/summer camp settings for the past 9 years. My duties included supervising children, assisting children with homework or any other problem that needed to be solved, interacting with children during activities such as art, music, gym time, etc. and ensuring the safety and wellness of all children. I find it enjoyable to work with children because of the unique connections that develop and the opportunities to teach, motivate, inspire and build character on both sides. I hold a great interest in sports as well as an interest in music and art, so I always have many avenues of connections to the children under my care.
