Hello families in Tennessee! I recently moved here from Sedona, Arizona and am excited for the adventures that lie ahead here in this new state. I am a Midwife and have been attending births for the last 6 years. It takes quite a lot to start a new practice. As I take my time to feel out what this area is wanting from a homebirth midwife, I'm excited to meet new families in the meantime! As a birth worker, you learn what is normal in birth and what isn't. That being said, you also learn that momma's have their maternal instinct/intuition and to follow that despite how normal a situation is looking. When I work as a nanny, I not only follow parents instincts or schedule/plan that is made up for the child. I also follow the childs' instincts, intuition, and passions. When I work with your child, my goal is not only to have the "checklist" get done but also for your child to feel seen, valued, respected and loved. I love seeing kids self-esteem increase, them to believe in themselves, and know who they are. As a part of your families team, I aim to create a safe space for children to know they can fail and try again. I want to be there for all the emotions- big, small, intense and sweet. I love cooking with kiddos as they learn how to navigate through the kitchen. I enjoy hiking with them, park days, library days, exploring days.
