I am a 20 year old college student with a lot of child care experience. I have been working and volunteering with children since high school. Throughout my high school summers I volunteered as a Girl Scout camp counselor, a Vacation Bible School leader, and babysitter. These positions were with preschool through middle school aged students, and included some special needs students. As a high school senior I spent some time tutoring elementary school students, and held an internship at a local elementary school in a math and science kindergarten class. In the summer of 2013 and 2014 I worked as a Day Camp Counselor for 4 through 6 year old children at ESF Day Camps. In this position I supervised groups of 10-20 campers and cared for them in various ways. I taught, led and assisted campers in activities as well as participated with them. I also assisted campers Read more with lunch, snack and swim time. Over the course of this past year I have been volunteering at a local church as a Confirmation teacher for 8th grade students. I have also led and taught middle and high school students at youth group, retreats and other events. In addition, I babysat 1 through 4 year olds for church members, and created and now lead a weekly 8th grade girls small group/bible study. I have gone through adult, child and infant CPR, AED, and basic first aid training, but am no longer officially certified. I am willing to become re-certified if requested. I have a clean driving record. Also, I have been background checked within the past year for volunteering at my church, but am more than willing to have another one. I truly love working with children of all ages and enjoy helping them learn and grow. I possess the experience, skills and abilities needed to be your family's babysitter or nanny.
