Hello there! My name is Tess (she/her). I'm an outgoing 27-year-old who finds a great deal of energy and meaning from working with children. I am currently seeking a part or full-time nanny position in Brooklyn/Manhattan. I come from a large family with over 50 cousins, many of whom now have children of their own. Aside from my personal proximity to children, I have years of experience working with kids ages 2-10, both in home and school settings. In 2020/21, I worked full-time for a family in Boston with two children, ages 3 and 7. I calmly navigated the uncertainties of each day to alleviate the stress of both parents working from home, facilitating creative outlets for both children in the midst of online school and a shutdown of public life. In 2022/23, I worked as the Front Desk Administrative Assistant at an International Elementary School in Portland, OR. In Read more this role, students of all ages would come to see me when they lost a tooth, felt a little sick or anxious, needed my help collaborating on a project, or simply needed a good chat. I always meet kids where they're at, take their thoughts seriously and work to empower them daily.
