Why do you love being a sitter? I love babysitting because I’ve grown up as the oldest of six siblings, which has given me a natural ability to care for and connect with children of all ages. Being in that role taught me patience, responsibility, and how to truly listen to kids—not just to their words, but to their feelings and behaviors. I find joy in being someone children can trust, feel safe with, and have fun around. What experience do you have? My experience started at home, helping raise and care for my younger siblings. Over time, I’ve also worked in customer service roles that strengthened my communication and multitasking skills. I'm currently studying social work at Winston-Salem State University, where I continue to build my experience in child development, family support, and community care. What skills and training do you have? I’m currently earning my RBT (Registered Behavior Read more Technician) certification, which means I’m gaining specialized training in working with children on the autism spectrum. I have strong skills in empathy, behavior support, and clear communication. I’m also dependable, patient, and calm under pressure—especially in moments when kids need someone steady and understanding. I truly care about helping every child I work with feel safe, valued, and empowered.
