I’m a recent college graduate with an English degree from U.C. Berkeley and new to childcare. Nonetheless, I’ve spent the last couple of years working with disabled children at a ranch, helping them to learn riding skills through equine therapy! As for my approach to babysitting, I’m a bit crunchy when it comes to helping children build inner confidence and a connection to the world around them. I believe in holistic meals, art time (where creativity and freethinking are valued), moving our bodies outside & outdoor play, limited screen time, and creating stable good rhythms that ground children in their own lives. I’ve worked with children who have high anxiety, autism, and special needs. It’s important to meet all children where they’re at and provide a stern but soothing environment that is built on “connection over correction.” Please reach out if you have questions or would like to hear more!
