Finding a nanny was so stressful and exhausting for our family, but Rachel immediately had such a calming and assuring presence and changed my perspective on how amazing it can be to welcome someone into our home and daughters life. I wish I could've kept Rachel in our family for forever - (we unfortunately had to move out of the area, but I may have tried to convince her to move with us!) Rachel was with our family for a few months and took care of our 7 month old until she was almost 10 months. I work from home and she effortlessly navigated the transition so our daughter could trust her, but allowed me to pop in when I could. She also handled "stranger danger" phases, sleep schedules, potential fall risks as our daughter learned to pull up, and new foods (bottles, purees, finger foods) with ease as my daughter grew up and learned new skills. Early on it felt like Rachel intentionally watched how our family played together to ensure our daughter felt safe as we stepped away. But it was also fun to see all the ways that play time evolved as Rachel and our daughter got to know each other. There is nothing like hearing laughing and giggling from your child as they interact with a nanny, knowing they are safe. I always felt like I could communicate with Rachel about anything - adjustments to the schedule, changes with our daughter, or even asking her to do something different if needed. She was open and I felt very comfortable that she would hear me out or voice her perspective too. I would hire Rachel a million times over...any family that works with her should consider themselves lucky!

Our household loves Rachel, she is enthusiastic and I can tell she really likes kids. I’m so glad I found her on sittercity.
