Hiya- I'm Rachel! I have 6 years of nannying experience- working with a variety of ages, family dynamics, parenting styles, and schedules. I am returning back to nannying after an almost 3 year break, which I used to pursue my career in education and non-profit administration. While I deeply connect to that work, I am actively pursuing a lifestyle change that nannying can make accessible. I have experience working with families both full-time and part-time, within the ages of 6month- 13 years old. While gaining a degree in Art History and Arts Management, I worked for a nannying service called Jovie- where I was paired with different families that required care for multiple children, sick care, potty training, dietary restrictions, medication needs, and behavioral support needs. I worked full time during the summers for a family with 2 children (two boys, ages 1 year and 6 years old), where I Read more was responsible for meals, learning and development objectives, diaper changing, bottle feeding, nap time and housework. For the past 2.5 years, I have been working with 13- 19 year olds as a program producer at a local non-profit focused on career education and exploration. I was able to build my transferable skills in education, classroom management, academic support, communication with school and parents, and teaching. While I’m leaving that career to pivot back into nannying, I was able to complete professional development training in: - Positive Youth Development, - 40 Developmental Assets, - Adverse Childhood Experiences, and - CPR The perfect family for me would be one that is welcoming, fun-loving, prioritizes safety and communication, and is ready to accept support from a full-time nanny. My best nannying experiences have been when a family communicates what it is that will truly lighten their load and stress as working parents, so that I am able to check off boxes that allow you to spend MORE meaningful time with your family.
