Hi my name is Genesis, I am a recent Saint Mary's College of California graduate. I've had a lot of experience working with children throughout most of my life. I am a strong advocate for Children and Families rights, along with Women's Rights. I've been working with children since I was 15, started off as a Dance Teacher Assistant, then Summer Camp counselor. As I found myself in college I became a part of the Americorps program, Jumpstart, which promotes early childhood literacy within preschools in Oakland. The summer of 2016, I also gained experience as an Au Pair for a 11month old baby girl. The following summer, I took part in a fellowship that allowed me to work with children once again, this time ranging from 5yrs old - 15yrs old. Throughout my senior year I also nannied two girls, one 8 yr old and a 12 yr old, Read more I was in charge of meal and snack prep, along with driving the girls to their required activities. I believe in the potential of children and I aspire to involve myself within education policy or social work one day.
