Hi! I’m a college student majoring in Psychology with a focus on child development, and I’ve always enjoyed working with kids. I love being a sitter because I get to build a connection with each child, learn their personality, and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their parents are away. I recently completed a co-op at Driscoll School in Brookline as a Group Leader in an after-school program. I worked with groups of around 20–40 second and third graders and helped run different parts of the day, including homework time, snack time, active games, projects, and free play. This experience taught me how to work with different personalities, keep kids engaged, handle busy environments, and make sure everyone feels included. It also gave me a lot more experience managing multiple children at once. I also have babysitting experience outside of school. Through Sittercity, I’ve babysat 9-year-old Read more twins, and I’ve also cared for younger children and family members. I’m comfortable helping with routines, keeping kids entertained, preparing simple activities, and making sure they have a fun day while still following the rules and routines their parents have set. I like to keep babysitting fun and interactive, whether that means playing games, doing arts and crafts, watching a movie, going outside, helping with a project, or just letting kids have some free time to play. I’m also happy to help with homework and keeping things organized throughout the day. I’d describe myself as patient, responsible, energetic, and easy to communicate with. Since I’m studying Psychology, I’ve also learned more about child development and behavior, which has helped me understand that every child is different and may need a different approach. I try to be patient and meet kids where they are while still providing structure and boundaries. Most importantly, I want both kids and parents to feel comfortable with me. I take the responsibility of caring for someone’s child seriously, and I always want parents to feel like their children are in good hands.

Lizbeth has been an amazing caregiver to Jasai over the past several months. She began babysitting him when he was around 6 months old and has continued to support his growth and development now that he is 1 year old. From the very beginning she has shown a natural ability to connect with him through her energy, warmth, and attentiveness. She is incredibly engaging and always makes sure Jasai is stimulated with age appropriate play, interaction, and care. Whether it’s playing, reading, or simply spending time with him, she brings a level of enthusiasm that keeps him happy and comfortable. At the same time, she is patient and gentle, especially during more challenging moments, which is so important when caring for a child at this stage. What really stands out is her experience working with children both in a school setting and within her own family. That background clearly shows in how confident, responsible, and nurturing she is.
