Hello! My name is Tanika and I reside in San Antonio, Texas. I have experience with all ages of children. When I was in my early twenties I worked for a hospital daycare, Rebsamen Hospital, located in Jacksonville, AR. There I was a Toddler Teacher. I had 10-12 toddlers, and I maintained the class without supervision. I had a daily curriculum. The curriculum consisted of preparing breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack(s). The class began with story time, then the class had a lesson for that (particular) day. It could be learning the alphabets, numbers, colors or creative arts. Then the class would participate in clean up. There was outside play. We taught our children about handwashing (before and after toilet training) and they were taught to wash their hands before and after lunch and snack time. The children had different centers as well. The media center, the house center, the Read more misc. center and the arts center. My ratio of children I had to myself were 10-12, no more. I am BLS certified (updated to the current date). I have taken courses that pertained to child safety, child abuse and what to look for, child grooming, child neglect, children's courses for special needs. I also, have experienced with working in elementary and middle schools. I was a Para-Educator for several years, as well. My background is of an ex-spouse of a (AD Army) military personnel. I also grew up as a child dependent of an AF military member. I have traveled here and there. The traveling gave me the opportunities to have the background experiences, I have, working with children. I, now, am a DOD employee working for the military and its soldiers under dental. I am a RDA ( registered dental assistant). In the near future, I plan to further my education. I would like to enhance my skills and knowledge, within the health system. The health care system is always expanding, and it has opportunity for growth. Health Administration is my interest. My interest is being around family and friends. I love helping others, taking pictures of people, places and unique creations of this beautiful world. I enjoy cooking for those I love. I am a mother of one son who has graduated and now, is "being all he can be." I enjoy children and I must say they love me. Children know who they can trust and who is genuine by their reactions to people they come in contact with. I would love to add to your child's or children's lives if given the opportunity.
